Sacred Farm Apothecary, born in the Blue Zone of Nosara, Costa Rica, was on the precipice of major growth. Under the leadership of founder Kathryn Colvig, the brand was expanding its brick-and-mortar footprint and digital reach. They required a robust brand foundation capable of scaling far beyond its original location, while remaining deeply rooted in its mythic origins and respect for ancestral knowledge. WE partnered with Sacred Farm to define their positioning, brand strategy, and tone of voice, setting the stage for global growth. From there, we built an expansive visual identity—featuring a system of custom wordmarks, a bespoke orchid icon, and a strategic color palette designed to intuitively guide product categorization. Inspired by old-world apothecaries, the system is designed to grow, adapt, and expand much like the Costa Rican jungle itself. Highly flexible, the identity thrives within an “always-on” marketing funnel and expertly navigates strict regulatory and printing restrictions for packaging. Beyond the initial design, WE continues to support Sacred Farm in an ongoing consulting capacity, guiding the team through their launch and the continued rollout of a brand that is as at home on a tincture bottle as it is in a beachside boutique or a global e-commerce platform.
