Toronto / The One of a Kind show is Canada’s flagship event to shop craft and celebrate its makers. Since its founding in 1975, the show has been a centre of community, gathering hundreds of artisans and their wares together twice annually. In 2018, One of a Kind’s parent company, lnforma, engaged Whitman Emorson to refresh the show’s vision, strategy and communications. WE produced a vision, brand narrative and key messages for One of a Kind, highlighting the organization’s mandate to promote and elevate craft while also aiming to draw in new audiences. The visual identity WE created maintains beloved elements of the brand—an iconic thumbprint—while imbuing with a fresh and unmistakably contemporary feel. WE has applied the new identity to a vast range of collateral, from advertising to signage, and beyond.
